Insights for the Job Seeker by Callings.ai

The other day I went to the grocery store with my kid. I grabbed a cart and he grabbed a basket. Guess what happened? I filled the cart and he filled the basket but we drifted around different parts of the store separately. I didn’t know what he was gathering. He didn’t know what I was gathering. I couldn’t sum up the estimated total cost. We’d had a plan but it was hard to remember with all the commotion.

This reminded me of how challenging job target tracking can be. When I have used various platforms at one time to keep track of my top picks, I have spent extra time keeping track of which platform is keeping track of which job. I might even start to apply to a role I already applied to, realizing at some point: “Wait—this feels really familiar…Oh man, I already applied!”

What I love about our product here at Callings.ai, is that the job tracker is multi-faceted.

My job tracking dashboard contains jobs that have been collected for me by the clever endeavors of our AI. I have loads of suggestions at my fingertips, refreshed daily. When I see opportunities I want to apply for, I save them in a handy organized place. No more must I scroll through overwhelming Excel and Google sheets which I, like most job seekers, are forced to manage. A bonus too, is that I receive periodic job hunt reminders via email to keep me on track if I haven’t yet applied to a job I am tracking.

I love the fact that I can use our plugin to import job listings from LinkedIn, and then save them in my Callings.ai tracker. I can also gather job postings from hiring company websites and add them manually. Everything is neat and tidy in my job tracking dashboard, with the option to sort according to date added, job compatibility percentage match, location, or company. Beyond this base of operations, there are multitudes of other tools to facilitate my forward action in the application process.

The nerve-wracking thing about job listings is that they go stale, like bread in the sun on a summer day. Having all my jobs collected in one place makes for productivity and concision. I apply to my targets while they’re still good and fresh. My neat dashboard also frees up time that I can devote to networking, attending job hunt workshops, and getting creative with my hobbies. Our job target tracker actually maximizes my self-care routine as I feel more organized in my mind and more available to get out for some outdoor exercise.

Tracking your job targets shouldn’t be hard. It should be as easy as store-bought pie!
